I think it's good in moderation. I love listening to dub, but the lower energy stuff is kinda hard to dance to. That's why I like two equal sized rooms like at the last halloween party I went to (forgot what the name was)--one dub, one other stuff. =)
well i think with this, not only is the genre but dj's are also evolving when they produce/play dubstep.
alot of newer dubstep tracks have a more breaky edge to them sometimes, i mean the music is also derived from drum n bass.
sometimes there are dubstep tracks that have a electro feel to them.
and even sometimes people mistake dubstep for midtempo/glitch.
but usually those are the people who mistake every genre for techno lol.
the slower tunes are for the mixes that dj's put out. and hell if the energy is high enough maybe those slower dubstep tracks will serve their purpose.
i think a good dubstep dj will incorporate those factors of danceable music when he is mixing to a crowded room.
i always like to play the heaviest grimiest hard hitting dubstep i have. if nobody seems to feel it or "get" it, i like to bring in a 130 bpm bassline/electro track. and the sound/atmosphere of the room also make a difference. dubstep is a bass driven music. there needs to be some really good set up to get the proper dubstep effect in the room.
I dont know, when I hear music I like to hear it proper. Bass music needs a bass to play on.
none of this gibberish even makes sense probably

dubstep is funny
