No I'm selling him. He is a 600 dollar dog, 1000 if i had papers. I'm trying to get atleast 450. There is one more from this litter that isn't one of the picks that I'm selling for 350. Plus we have another litter from another dog coming, they should all be black/white and maybe silver.

He doesn't really poop much yet. But with good training you can actually teach a puppy from the minute he is away from his mother. My 5 month old will sit, laydown, crawl, shake (left and right), jump up, spin, stay, and just about anything I want him to.

I hate to be the negative one here, but probably at least 50% of the dogs at the humane society are Pit Bulls, and mostly young Pits. They are amazing dogs and it just doesn't make sense to me to pay breeding price for a dog that I could rescue from a shelter. Granted, some of the dogs at the shelter may have behavioral problems but most of the time a Pit Bull ends up in a shelter because someone paid a ridiculous price for a cute puppy and couldn't handle the intense attention needs of a Pit so they surrendered it. In my opinion, if you don't have papers for a dog, there is no proof a dog should cost anywhere over the monetary amount it took to bring up the puppies. The only time paying absurd amounts for a dog would make sense would be when a dog is a working/hunting/herding dog or a show dog, but even then, who sat down one day and decided the lifestyle of dog showing was to become some high class thing?  Also, often times you hear about pure bred dogs having more health problems than a dog that came to be without the interferance of humans. If my conscience ruled the world, animal breeders wouldn't make tons of money off selling animals because the life of an animal that will fill you with joy shouldn't have a profit price on it. If you want to make money by not having a real job, go sell some fucking drugs.
None of this statement is intended as an offense against Randy, this is just a topic that will work me up.

No I agree 100%. There are FAR too many dogs at the shelter to be buying them. Whatever though, I guess as long as people are paying right?  :'(

Good luck trying to find a dog with perfect lines that's going to be over 120lbs at a shelter. You can always get papers on a dog. All they do is take blood to make sure of its purity and what kind of pit it is: Gotti, Razors Edge, Watch Dog, Gaff, Gator Mouth, Etc. Most people classify them by color: Red, blue, brindle, or they say "Oh he is an American pit". But most pits in America are American Pit Bull Terrier's or the American Staffordshire Terrier. The England breed is the Staffordshire Bull Terrier which is starting to be more popular here. But if you know anything about dogs you can look at the lines, jaw, and tail to make sure they are pure.

I do agree with you, it's sad what happens to dogs. But our planet is way more over populated with people not dogs and I don't see you freaking out and writing a page about that on some adoption board. I have seen the dogs that come out of shelters and I would never own one. My friends got a boxer and it is the worst dog I have ever delt with. Not saying all dogs will be like that but if you want to blame anyone for over breeding you should blame the puppie factories/farms.

I make sure all the dogs go to good homes that know how rare and unique our dogs are.  If he doesn't get sold then I keep him. I don't sell dogs to make money; most of them are spoken for before we breed a dog, and only once or twice then they are fixed.

P.S. Pitbulls are working dogs.
P.S. Who are you telling to go sell drugs and why?

Thank you for your rational, I appreciate that you didn't take anything I said too seriously. I wasn't trying to make you or how you raise your dogs look bad. I've had an English Bull Terrier in my family and a Staffordshire Bull Terrier and I know they are classified in the working class of dog breeds but not many people actually put them to their title. I wasn't telling anyone specific to go sell drugs, just the fact that some people think that breeding a dog is just like any other sales job, when it is actually far from it. I don't recommend anyone start selling drugs, lol, I was just feeling very heated at the time.

Misstess ur a bitch.

Jax, I guess it's kind of cool that we have something in common.

600 without papers and 1000 with?
if your not trying to make a buck on the pup then sell him for 50$-100$ to a good person that can maintain this type of mammal.

those pups shouldn't even be sold.. give them away to a good family. but if they had to be bought? 400 with papers. blue, rednose or whatever kind they seem to be. my current boys are at 140lbs and a son of his for 145 lbs and i got the dad for 150, papered  with some serious champion lines

just my 2 cents

p.s. i've owned well over 6 pitts in my life and they are amazing dogs but i don't think this breed needs to be sold any more. I am not trying to be negative towards you randy.

rocko - son

deejay - daddy

millie - mom

You may have paid that for your dogs. But a real purple ribbion show champion line you pay 1000-1500$ for the pick papered.http://www.k9stud.com/americanpitbullpuppiesforsale.aspx Were those picures taken when they were younger? They don't look 140 lbs. http://www.ironcrosskennels.com/males.php. Check out these dogs the biggest one is 140 lbs. The dad of this pup is much bigger then your dogs and he is 121 at a year and a half. I'll take some pictures and load them later. His dad was the Steele Bullet with papers mixed with a champion champagne line that is just as sought after as my silver. The mom we don't have papers on, but she was just as nice. When you sell someone a dog for 50-100$ how do you know they really are going to take care of him? If someone is willing to pay atleast 300$ for a dog you know it's going to a good home. Most of the other dogs were sold around 500$ besides the runt that was sold for 350$.The price was always negotiable he was given to me to pay off a debt. But you have to consider shots, food and time also. Like I said if he doesn't go to a good home then I keep him. I really like millies markings do you know her actual lines? She looks like she is gaff. Did all the pups look like the dad? Oh and I wasn't trying to insult your other dogs or say you don't know what your talking about. I know how dogs can be like your children so just making sure you didn't think that.

no worries on anything.. yeah the dogs pics are a few years back now, rocko now is about 4 or so and he truly is at 145, he's one heavy bastard.. All the pups mostly came out like the dad and i kept rocko only cause he had identical marking like the father, they have to be the best dogs i have ever owned, the dad and rocko are extremely smart guys. I truly hate to see these dogs being sold just because so many people no not know how to care for them. As you can see with mine i never cropped ears or tales, i personally think they look better this way.

But dam if rised right, pitbulls can be freaking badass!

Well it takes everyone in your house working towards the same goals to actually make a big diference. I have worked with 7 pits in the last year and I would like to think I'm the next dog whisper.lol. The best way is to get a good dog training book, or watch the dog whisper. He really knows what he is talking about. The most important to teach is stay until you say come.  But if you need help still, I would love to meet a new dog.

Wow, I as half kidding at first, but thanks for the offer. Problem is...I suspect the "owner" of the dog is in serious grand delusion when it comes to his dog...

Sometimes he acts like it's "the runt, and it's slow," and other times he acts like it's the smartest dog in the world.

What pisses me off is when he lets a pile of shit just sit on the carpet for hours. He picks it up, but only if he has to get up for another reason.....and out of curiosity, he seems to think smacking it in the ass is the way to go, I don't know if I agree......Poppins seems able to use mere words to make the dog listen.......So I'm wondering how you go about it......Obviously, I do not want this dog to be left to the cold world like countless before it.........

Actually Mr. Poppins does a good job (Someone from this site who I live with).....But he's one guy, and he shouldn't have to worry about it.

But you are right as far as working together...Me and Poppins want to, but the other two are for some reason extremely uncooperative.......like kids in a way...and I say that with as much respect as can be said.......

So the dog whisperer isn't full of shit? That surprises me...Hahaha.....

Actually I think you gave me the answer to dealing with my roommates! Ha, thanks!
