Bass For Your Face:: DnB Mix
« on: October 03, 2007, 05:09:11 PM »
Hey guys, it's me again.  I decided to make a DnB mix last night.  A lot of the songs are older (not too much older).  I know I still have much to work on, especially when it comes to my scratching... but that's the beauty of music.  As with my other mixes, this mix displays where I'm currently at musically.  I didn't scratch during my mixset... but I made a little intro using battle records and some drum loops in Reason...

Anyways, here's the tracklisting:

1.) This is How I Do It - nona
2.) Blood Sugar- Pendulum
3.) Frozen Solid- Subfocus
4.) Turn it Up- Beyond the Horizon
5.) Painkiller (Nosia rmx)- Freestylers feat. Pendulum
6.) Killa DJ- Drumsound and Simon Bassline Smith
7.) Tripped (Gridlock rmx)- Mampi Swift
8.) Voltron- Beyond the Horzion
9.) Guns at Dawn- DJ Baron feat. Pendulum
10.) Coming Unstuck- Cyantific
11.) Boom Blast (John B. rmx)- Freestylers feat. Million Dan
12.) Just a Minute- Ben Sage feat. Savvy
13.) Beatbox Master- Logistics
14.) Black Key- Bad Ace Inc.
15.) Nervous (Subfocus rmx)- DJ Fresh feat. Mary

Thanks much, and enjoy your day!

Thanks love!  You know... I've asked myself that question as well.  Especially when you hear it on a good, loud sound system...

Well, i enjoy LISTENING to drum and bass, but no, you cant dance to it. This is 14+ years of breakdancing/poplocking/uprocking/hip hop/house stepping experience talking. The reason you cant dance to it? The beat is too fast and the snare is too slow.

Way to go Nona!

Mener, I have to strongly disagree with that... Some of the best breakdancing I've ever seen at parties were to DnB. Especially back in the day. There was a kat from SF that use to blow my mind in SF's massive hay day (Clockwork, Coolworld etc). Bird and I have a couple boys in Tahoe that are sick breakdancers that get down to it as well.

If you can't dance to DnB, you can't dance. Every genre has their niche to grooving. I mean come on, people dance to fucking progressive trance, hahaha. My two favorite circles to watch are House groover circles and breakdancing circles to DnB.

If you youtube breakdancing to DnB, hella videos pop up:

BTW, MENER RULES~
