Hello,

I used acid and kinetic for both projects.  I hope to get ableton 5 soon to take them a bit further.

I've been messing around with making my own tracks.  I played a couple of them at shows vibe tech 2 and at the blue monkey in EPA,CA.

Long time no see.  How have you been?

good... just bustin my ass to make a good life for myself... it's hard though...

that and trying to make music. that is all i seem to be doing though... is trying. i have hip hop down alright. i can make some decent beats. when it comes to electronic music though... it feels like there is still so much i need to learn. it's like... i get too caught up in the present, and i can't seem to zoom out and see the whole song... i get stuck in building up this one 8 bar loop, and i can't seem to make the track flow, breathe, and progress to a final destination... if that makes any sense.

another problem i have... is that i am not able to translate me feelings into music. i don't know, very well yet anyways, what sounds to use to get which feeling, and which melodies to use with those sounds... i don't know... it sometimes seems like an unreachable goal.

i'm still at it though. how about you?

Hey there.

From what I see electronic music is pretty challenging.  You gotta read what's out there when it comes to creating electronic music and spend lots of time listening to other producers to hear what they are doing thats "new".  But once you get the hang of it it can be fun.

I do spend countless hours creating a beat before I add any intrumentation ( if thats a word lol ) to my music.  But once i do have everything I try to figure out ways to change it up so it doesnt get too repetitive and so that it has a flow. But I always the thought " well the dj should be the one changing thngs up when he/she mixes " but it doesnt work that way. My motivation to keep trying is the warehouse, the dancers and the dj's who may want to spin the music.

Hang in there. I'm sure you'll bust out some great tracks. BTW drop me an email, I have a track I may want to collaborate with you.
