Friday:
4.5 hours of yoga between 10:00am and 4:30pm.  First yoga class was at High Camp..Pretty epic.
Sound was average
Pretty Lights was pretty awesome
MC Yogi was one of the worst MC's I've ever heard
Moby was not my thing...some people loved him, I though he was total cheese
Couldn't even get into the Ana Sia afterparties so crowded
Show sold out
I got to miracle 6 random people.  I would hold a ticket up and someone would come up and ask "How much?"  I'd say "For you, free."  The look of total confusion and then such happiness was rad.

Saturday:
3 hours of yoga
Sound still not hitting
they sold 1500 more tickets than the night before due to fear of a crowd rushing the gates from it being so sold out
Missed all the music pre-bassnectar being in the parking lot.  It was seriously ragin like a Phish show parking lot.  Amazing tailgating going down
Bassnectar played about 45 minutes of old-school 100 BPM midtempo to start the set off, then got durty, then brought it back around to some heavy but very pretty dubstep.  Great set.  Not my favorite, but really good.  1.5 hour set total.
I got to miracle another few people....which was awesome.
Couldn't get into Ana Sia latenight AGAIN it was so packed.

Sunday:

3 hours of yoga.
Didn't hear any music.  Too much to do.


I was hired to do street team. I think I did a good job and give myself, judging by turnout, a 10/10.

(i know, i know, you were just excited about how much better it did this year than last)
anywho glad you did well, i had no doubts regarding your personal work ethic. - sunday lineup looked pretty good to me.

however, the grateful dead are spiders on my eyelids, pain to the core of my being, the worst white guy soul-less noodle jams of all time.
the last thing i personally want to hear while overloaded on acid, and in no way attributable to my acts of kindness (there have been 2)
i was so excited the first time i saw one of their album covers, i thought "man, this is going to be great!"
then i started the record, and heard treble-tinny, "bwah,bwah,bwah,noodle,noodle,noodle,mwah,mwah,mwah,chicky,chicky,chicky"
based on album artwork, it was a bigger letdown than "molly hatchet"

my view on them and their crowd however, is that of any "religion", in that if they make people better on some level then its not all together bad, now is it?
even if it makes me personally want to shave ferrets.

so now i fully expect a GD onslaught from the steve @ decom, and i suppose i'll have it coming............
